Farewell Concert by Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra at the “Makedonia” Thessaloniki Airport

Passengers departing from Thessaloniki Airport experienced today a very pleasant surprise.

Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra in cooperation with Fraport Greece organized a Farewell Concert at departures area B creating a beautiful final memory for the passengers from the city of Thessaloniki.

Fraport Greece responded to the request by the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra supporting its very important work and contributing to the promotion of the city’s culture.

This activation is part of a series of events that Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra is organizing in various spots of the city, creating a new relationship with the public by integrating symphonic music into people’s everyday life.

Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Athanasios Sorgounis. The program included parts from Bizet’s “Carmen”, Rossini's “William Tell” and Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake'. Together with Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra. Baritone Akis Lalousis, also, performed the impressive 'Taurus' Song'.
